Some advice on what to keep handy

Trace down the sky from finger to finger past Orion, past Cassiopeia, each of the Dippers (or if you prefer, Ursas) until the Moon rests firmly between your thumb and forefinger. Whether sliver or crescent, gibbous or fuller, just pluck it and place it in a box full of memories and keep it until necessary, until the time and the place when your eyes have gone cloudy. Then in your mind's eye on your last, little journey let its light keep you company.
