Some advice on what to keep handy
Trace down the sky
from finger to finger
past Orion, past Cassiopeia,
each of the Dippers
(or if you prefer, Ursas)
until the Moon rests firmly
between your thumb and forefinger.
Whether sliver or crescent,
gibbous or fuller,
just pluck it and place it
in a box full of memories
and keep it until necessary,
until the time and the place
when your eyes have gone cloudy.
Then in your mind's eye
on your last, little journey
let its light keep you company.

Tree,
This poem, and 'Indictiment' are truly wonderful poems; the latter more than a little disturbing in its unabased truth-telling; brought a tear which doesn't often happen to this WASPy guy.
In fact, these pieces and others I've read here on your blog, are so piercingly accessible they are, well, breathtaking...I mean that!
You're nailing it now, girl!
I hope other folks are reading these...they deserve a readership.
Kind regards,

Effective & affecting. A delightful picture of a 'hands-on 'view of the universe.

T,
No poems in a while here. Hope you're doing okay. Nice to stop in from time to time and read your work.
See you have the "Blue Cheese" book out as well...Congratulations!
Best,
Kell (from the good ol' days at mipo)
